Students who wish to take examinations in both theory and practical playing receive personalised and expert tuition. Students are prepared for the examinations set by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) from Grade 1 to Grade 8, and also to First Diploma Level. Tuition in Musical Theory up to Grade 5 (a requirement before a student can progress to Grade 6 and beyond in practical playing) is also available.

Students can also be helped through Key Stage 3 & 4, with separate Aural Lessons and Music Theory lessons to gain ABRSM qualifications.  Help is also available to students preparing for GCSE, AS and A Level, with a special love of composition and harmony.

The Piano Studio welcomes both those who purely desire to play for fun and enjoyment, as well as those who wish to sit examinations. For those with no interest in examinations, there is a whole world of music to explore and enjoy!
