Gary’s musical philosophy is simple: music is for everyone. He believes that it’s never too early - or too late - to start learning, and he brings patience, creativity, and a deep love of music to every lesson and performance. Lessons include a wide range of music from classical and romantic to rock and pop and embrace teaching of all styles and at all levels – from Bach to The Beatles, providing students with techniques to achieve any style of piano they wish. 

 

Gary is dedicated to helping students excel, though he also understands how important it is that the Piano Studio remains family friendly.  He is more than happy for parents to stay during lessons and discuss their child’s progress.

For children wishing to learn about piano and music, lessons are fun and engaging, encompassing note recognition and rhythm, through friendly and entertaining repetition.  Younger students gain a full appreciation of the history of music, music in the world today and how to achieve a deep sense of musicality themselves.

Gary's music school also offers opportunities for more mature students to (re)discover their love of playing. Many adults find piano playing both relaxing and therapeutic and their better co-ordination skills can often be a real advantage to their learning.

For those who are interested Gary also organises student concerts, which family and friends always enjoy.
